Examples of our initiatives

Participating in the Kawasaki SDGs Partner Festival 2025

On Sunday, November 9th, 2025, we participated in the Kawasaki SDGs Partner Festival 2025.

Activity details

  • Exhibiting an upcycling workshop
  • Puzzle Kensa Lab experience booth
  • Distributing food from a food drive

This is our third time exhibiting.
It rained for the first time, and it was cold, so it was difficult to prepare for opening, but the rain stopped in the afternoon and more people came out, making it a lively place.
The upcycled items were modified rubber band pistols, and the mobiles were decorated with space, cats, rabbits and other themes for the children to choose from.
Both events were enjoyed by many children, and we even had to add more work space midway through.
I hope that children will see that such fun things can be made from recycled materials.

Puzzle Inspection Lab was the first exhibit to use our technology.
If you arrange the designated plates perfectly according to the sample shape, you will get 100 points. The computer will calculate how much the arrangement is off.
The puzzles are divided into four difficulty levels so that they can be enjoyed by children of all ages.
It was fun for adults to participate in as well, and there was a constant stream of people visiting.
I hope that children will experience image processing and use it in the future.

This year, we held a food drive within the company and collected a lot of food and daily necessities. Many companies and organizations also donated emergency supplies and food, which were distributed at the Partner Festival.
We are grateful to the companies and organizations that have cooperated with the operation and donation activities, and we hope to continue this for a long time to come.

Participating in the Kawasaki SDGs Partner Festival 2024

On Saturday, October 12, 2024, we participated in the Kawasaki SDGs Partner Festival 2024.

Activity details

  • Exhibiting an upcycling workshop
  • Energy system experience booth
  • Distributing food from a food drive

In the upcycled category, in addition to the classic rubber band pistol, we also exhibited a mobile.
Many children came to the event, some of whom painted bird stencils to hang from mobiles in bird-of-paradise colors, and some of whom hit the target 100% out of 100 times with a rubber band pistol.
I would like to continue to teach children that even things that would otherwise be considered trash have great value.

Many parents and children visited the energy system, experiencing how electricity is generated by using a hand-crank generator to power mini cars and turn on the lights.
When a child couldn't do it well, the mother and father tried their best.
I hope you understand how difficult it is to produce energy.

We held a distribution event for items collected through an in-house food drive, which was held as part of the activities of the Children's Donation Scheme Subcommittee, as well as items donated by partner companies and organizations.
This time too, student volunteers and corporate volunteers participated, and we were able to distribute a lot of food and daily necessities.
I would like to continue doing this for a long time to come.

Demon masks made from discarded cardboard donated to kindergartens

In January 2024, we donated demon masks made from discarded cardboard to a nearby kindergarten.

Activity details

  • Supporting upcycling and children's education

Many parts for the manufacturing equipment are sent to us, all packed in cardboard. We decided to use this cardboard to make a demon mask.
The masks we made were donated to a nearby kindergarten to be used in their Setsubun events.
The teachers wore masks and played tag with the children. Instead of running away, the children chased the demons.
I hope that children will see that such fun things can be made from recycled materials.

Participating in the Kawasaki SDGs Partner Festival 2023

We participated in the Kawasaki SDGs Partner Festival 2023 for two days from Saturday, October 28th to Sunday, October 29th, 2023.

Activity details

  • Opening a workshop
  • Distributing food from a food drive

On the first day of the workshop, as many as 45 children came to play at our booth.
We had them decorate rubber band pistols made from cardboard and brooches made from wire.
The children were seen happily test-firing the finished rubber band pistols and showing off their brooches, making for a heart-warming sight.

On the second day, we distributed food from a food drive.
We held a food drive within the company and collected a lot of food and daily necessities, which we were able to distribute on the day.
Food drives like this one are made possible thanks to the many student volunteers who rushed to help out, and the donations of food and daily necessities from many companies and organizations. We will continue to cooperate in distributing food at food drives in the future.
